Texas Wedding Photographer:
Photographing in Austin & West Texas
Wedding Photographer for Couples Who Want to Live in the Moment
Guest First. Photographer Second.
I’m there as your guest, which means I am there to prioritize your experience. I take a documentary and candid approach to my photography, and prefer to find organic moments than stage fake ones. My goal is to show the full range of your wedding day: the laughs, the tears, the joy, all of the heart and beauty and love.
Hello!
I’m Tom and I love weddings.
I fell in love with weddings when I was nine years old. My teenage cousins had started a conga line that was snaking across the dance floor, picking up steam as it went. Drunk uncles and sober grandmas joined the fray, and soon the whole reception was in on it. I hopped into the middle, a huge smile on my face, and thought this is awesome.
After photographing over 200 weddings, I still feel this same sense of joy, optimism, and excitement every time I photograph a wedding.
I photograph weddings across North Carolina, the East Coast, and Texas.

Texas Connection
My wife Lindsey & I lived in Texas for a decade - we met, dated, and married in Austin. These days, we live in Lindsey’s native Raleigh, and I photograph weddings across North Carolina, the East Coast, and the Southwest.
We have close friends & family members in Austin, so we are back frequently, and I photograph 3-5 weddings a year in Austin & West Texas.
A few highlights of our relationship in Texas:
Had our first date at Banger’s Beer Garden in Austin on Rainey Street
First said “I love you” at Enchanted Rock in the Hill Country
Ate approximately one million P. Terry’s cheeseburgers
Married at Mercury Hall, a former wedding venue in Austin and renovated 100+ year old small town Texas chapel
Cut our cake to Slaid Cleaves “Texas Love Song”, featuring the lyric “if you ever make me leave this state / I’ll grown but I won’t hesitate / because I love you even more than I love Texas”
Of all our identities, “Texans” continues to be an important one, and I would love to chat about photographing your wedding in Texas.
